At Kung Fu Club, the safety and wellbeing of our students—especially children and vulnerable individuals—is our highest priority.
We believe martial arts should build confidence, discipline, and respect in a safe and supportive environment. That’s why we have clear safeguarding principles in place for all instructors, assistants, and visitors.
âś… What We Stand For
- Respectful coaching: No shouting, humiliation, or rough handling.
- Safe physical contact: Always purposeful, appropriate, and never punitive.
- Emotional safety: We protect students from distress as carefully as we protect them from injury.
- Clear boundaries: All instructors follow a code of conduct that puts the student’s welfare first.
- Accountability: Concerns are taken seriously and handled promptly.
⏱️ Respect and Timekeeping
- Arrive on time: Being prompt shows commitment and ensures a smooth, focused session for everyone.
- Respect others’ time: Late arrivals disrupt the group and may miss important safety briefings.
- Show courtesy: Bowing, listening attentively, and treating others with kindness are core to our ethos.
- Lead by example: Instructors model respectful behaviour both on and off the mat.
🎓 Student Code of Conduct
We also ask all students to follow a clear Student Code of Conduct, which promotes respect, safety, and responsibility in every class. It helps create a positive training environment and supports our safeguarding principles. Parents and students are encouraged to read it together before joining or renewing.
📣 If You Have a Concern
If you ever witness or experience something that doesn’t feel right, please speak to our safeguarding lead. We’re here to listen and act.
